One of mysteries, frustrations, ultimate joys of golf is that it’s never the same twice, even between swings, and it must be played one shot at a time. You survey all the hazards from the tee and try to keep in the fairway, always try to avoid your ‘miss’, play to the middle of the green most of time, and hope to have a putt for par. But, taking a risk can sometimes lead to the shot of the round and result in birdie or better. And when it doesn’t, a good player will take note and then focus entirely on the next shot. Sounds a LOT like life to me!
“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.” –Robert Louis Stevenson
First – I’m a husband, father, friend, community volunteer.
Second – I’m a video marketing authority, caddie, avid (my wife would say ‘rabid’) golfer, sports fan, world traveler, lover of all things food/wine/spirits, zero waste evangelist.
I believe in living in the moment, being present and open to every opportunity, every experience. I am blessed beyond measure to have come from a long lineage of doers and risk takers (it must have something to do with Scottish blood), and to have found a life companion that tolerates and loves me for it. She’s the allignment stone of our circle.
I’m also the very proud father of a fine young man that loves scouting, has a creative genious, and also likes to play golf with me. Just like his dad, he can be a wee bit headstrong, but I love that about him too.
All in all, life is great. Sure there are challenges and struggles, which I may reference from time to time. But all we can do is get up every day and get after it, trying to do better by our family, friends and colleagues because we’re all in this together folks. I hope to share the journey and learn with you.
